I am quitting dragon boating, or at least for now.
I have to quit doing it because my back starts hurting especially on my tail.
No, I am a human. I am not a monkey. Thank you very much :P
Yeah, it sucks.
But luckily, I have access to other sports so I will concentrate on them.
Another door opens after one is closed.:)

Bus o bus

I want to participate in the green action so I took the bus to work this morning. I check the schedule, and the bus supposed to arrive at 9.23 am. Notice the word i used "supposed"
I understand if the bus runs a little late or early, like 5-10 minutes. But given the weather and situation, it was raining and windy, 10 minutes felt like forever.
But I have given my word to myself that I am going to take the bus to work today!
So I waited.
Here is the scary fact, those buses don't stop at every stop! If they don't see anyone waiting on the station, they don't stop!!!
Luckily, it was the bus that went to the opposite direction.

I got to my station at 9.15 which is 8 minutes early.
So I waited and waited. Looked at the clock and it was 9.30.
I was having second thought about this bus thing because it was already 9.30 and I was not at my desk!
I was going to walk but walking will take longer and it is already too late to start walking.
It will take me 45 minutes to walk and with these high heels shoes, forget it. It will probably take a good hour.

Suddenly, a strong wind came and blew my umbrella!!! aiaiaiai!
My umbrella was inside out :>
So I just turned it around, let the wind flipped it back. Smart eh? hahahha
And another brilliant idea came into my mind. I have a cellphone so I can play games while waiting for my ride.
Playing games helped alot. The next I knew, the bus came at 9.45.
It picked me up and it moved forward right away.

Being inside an empty bus was a very nice feeling. There was only several people in the bus.
Plus it was warm :>
The ride was very short. It was about 6 minutes long.
I pulled the string and on my way to work.
And I got work at 10 and I saw my super already sitting nicely at his desk.
oh dear....
what a day...

This is what I think "Life is short and fast"
Where did I get this idea from? From my dream last night. I have 2 fishies in a tank and I don't have a cat. But, last night, I dreamt that a cat caught and ate my cute fishies :<
There was nothing I could do. I was standing still, very still, could not move an inch because I was in shock and it was too late to save them.
When I got up in the morning, I was so happy to see that they are still alive.
But life is short and fast. How are you going to live yours?

What I Did Last Weekend

We lost but I think we did pretty good considering we are a new team with several fresh paddlers. We were ranked 8th out of 38th!!! Go Titans!!! :)

Paddles Up!!!!

Sooo I am joining the dragon boat race for the 2nd time! Woohoo!! The race will be this weekend and I can feel excitement since last week, actually, the whole team feel excited!
We have several new members and each one has their own personalities and characters. Like there is this one guy that never talked to anyone. He has a military haircut. He is in shape. He knows how to paddle correctly but he never talked to anyone.
I tried to talk to him, to make him feel more welcome to the team but it turned out he is not a talker.
He gave you straight answers and period. that's it. He doesnt ask you back or add anything to the conversation. so we call him man of mystery :)

And, of course, we have the party pretty boys. You remember F4 right? So we have 2 members of F4 in our team. They always dress up nicely and the hair. o my, it looks like being combed every minute. Ha, i know i sound mean. but i like to observe people :>

So we have a good mixture of people. Young, old, friendly, funny, and Mysterious hahaha

The weather forecast predicts 70% chance of thunderstorm but we have not heard anything from the race committee about canceling the race.

oh speaking of race cancellation, it turns out I am going home for 3 weeks! so if my sister is getting married at the end of this year, I have to take unpaid personal day off which is fine but getting the approval is the hard part. I have to wait for the correct moment, of course :>
Yeah, this June is going to be busy for us. Good busy :>
First week of June is going to be my mom's bday, the next week will be my sis' engagement gathering, and the following week she will get baptized.
I am so happy that she decided to do it. Religion is your own belief so if you decide to be a Catholic, I dont think your parents have any rights to say no.
So I am glad I will be home and able to attend these moments :>
I will make sure take lots of pictures.
and another good thing is I dont need to find a dress!
I bought a dress loooong time ago. It was on sale. It was more like a spring dress. I tried it on just for fun and it turned out it fit me. yay!
But I have to be sure it still fits me tho hahaha
